I am a new author who had a dream to write over a decade ago, but life and conformity took over. Then one day I took redundancy from my day job and decided to take the plunge. Just like most people I got a job, built my career, worked as a senior manager in the corporate digital media space, and even though I enjoyed it, I knew I wanted to write. I knew I wanted to try and inspire, encourage and empower women, so I decided to be brave and took the step; because after all you only have one shot at life, right?

I currently post my own quotes and sometimes inspired ones. I have recently published my first book Confessions and Lessons which I self published on Kindle. My quotes and blogs are mainly about positive thoughts, challenging peoples' thought processes and acknowledging that sometimes it's hard to stay strong.

My novel is about a girl called Rhea and her journey in life, trying to battle with conformity and rules. It is about her individual journey for love, self love, heartache, perseverance and dealing with life in general. Learning how to stand up for herself, learning about men, sex, love and life. It is a book that is inspired by many of the strong women I have met in my life along with my own life experiences.

My main motivation and inspiration for writing this book is the hope of helping and showing women that they are not alone in some of life's battles to become who they really are. There is no reason to conform and become what the world expects of you and being your own person via your own mistakes is OK. We are never given a manual for life and we learn as we go along, my novel Confessions and Lessons tackles issues so many women will relate to; and whilst Rhea shares her Confessions she also shares the Lessons of life that she learns, and sometimes failed to learn.
